What is Calma?

“One brings peace about only by first illuminating the world within.”

Calma began in Brooklyn, New York, in May 2025, supplying matcha to small coffee shops across the borough. Over time, it has been gradually growing into a retail practice of its own. While matcha remains at the heart of what we do, we slowly open space to explore other tea varieties, along with a thoughtful range of non-consumable products that support and reflect our mission.

At its core, that mission can be expressed in a single, simple statement:

Calma was created from the belief that small moments, awareness, and closeness
to nature can change how we live. We are slowly shaping that belief into a self-sustaining
organic farm, and into paths of education, sustainable agriculture, and human development
so the land can thrive and people can flourish.

The road ahead is long and shaped by growth. We are not working simply toward a profitable business, but toward something that can endure, leaving behind a legacy of thoughtful and sustainable progress.
